PAPER SUBMISSION

The Alliance for Healthy Cities 2018 (AFHC2018) invites authors to submit papers for presentation at the AFHC2018. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and accepted papers will be assigned either to an oral or poster presentation by the committee.
Abstract Submission format for the AFHC 2018.

Author Guidelines

1.

The scientific Committee AFHC 2018 encourage the submission of original scientific paper.

2.

Authors are required to follow the format set by the committee.

3.

An internal panel of reviewers will review the abstract. The authors’ presentation preferences will be considered. However, the final decision will rest upon the committee. All authors will be notified via email.

4.

Authors are encouraged to check this website for updates on the date and time of presentation as the conference date draws near.

5.

If authors wish to withdraw their abstracts from presentation or publication, they are required to send an e-mail to the conference secretariat 2 months prior to the conference. Consequently, the abstract will neither be presented nor published.


Time

Parallel session speakers are given 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.


Payment

There is no fee for the abstract submission. However, the authors of accepted abstract would have to register for the conference.


Conference Registration

A minimum of one-day conference registration is required for all contributed speaker/poster presenters. Invited speaker/poster presenters will receive detailed instructions, regarding registration in their invitational letter.


Multiple papers

A presenter may give a maximum of two oral and three poster presentations only.


Abstract preparation & Selection

1.

All abstracts must be submitted via the Microsoft Words Document format.

2.

The length of the abstract must not be more than 300 words, excluding the title and author(s) name/ affiliation and footnote.

3.

The format of the abstract for submission must be as follows:

General fonts and format: Arial, font size 12, spacing 1.15, justified.

The abstract should include:

Names and addresses of authors

The introduction

Objective(s)

Methodology

Results and discussion

Conclusion

c.

The title must be in BOLD CAPS.

d.

For the authors’ name and institution, a maximum of 5 authors can be listed. The presenting author’s name must be underlined.

e.

The introduction until the conclusion (i.e. the body) should be in one paragraph. Please bold the headings.

f.

Leave one space between the title, the author/institution and the body of the abstract.

g.

Graphs, tables and illustrations cannot be included in the abstract.
